Alright everyone, its been two weeks and I thought last week would bring some free time but it didn't so we are into Tuesday and I will attempt to sum up the last couple weeks if I remember.
Oh first of all - friday is our 2 month - we kinda forgot our 1 month but still had some pizza for it but our 2 month is even bigger and just to tell you all, married life is great. We haven't gotten sick of eachother yet and i think in both of our perspectives it has been nice to have one another around, either to kill many upon many cockroaches or to run away from the cockroaches, ok, ok, dustin has come in quite handy but i think i've also done my share of handy things - well, we'll just say I'm useful.
(short story
- we were cleaning our house on sunday which ended in mcdonalds but anyways, both bathrooms have drains and once dustin started cleaning the less-used bathroom, large, very large cockroaches starting crawling out of the drain. He put some water down the drain and out came more, and then finally he put down some drain cleaner and wow, more came - it was quite disgusting and dustin was busy scooping them up in our designated cockroach cup and flushing them down the toilet - Ty I'm sorry you weren't there - you would have defended me as I was so grossed out and dustin was more annoyed with me than the flooding cockroach situation at his feet.)
Ok, the past - yes, we've taken many trips to the souk - which is quite fun actually - there are two souks - one that is just fruits and veggies and the other big one with furniture to food to random gadgets. We also visited mickey's burger - a cheap burger joint - very delicious. Umm, dustin bought a new deck cause his last skateboard got driven over by a car - he was attempting a trick i guess and it flew out from underneath him into traffic and of course, like most moroccan drivers, the driver had no idea he just drove over something quite large and kept driving so a new deck was needed. We also were able to enjoy a couscous friday lunch with one of dustin's friends - at his home - very delicious and well, the buttermilk that was served with it - well, disgusting. And to our disappointment, i broke our very lame but useful french press - we have since borrowed a broken coffee maker where the machine doesn't heat up at all so we have to pour hot water through the filter and beans - basically instant coffee but we deal.
I have also met with a friend that the scotland group had - she's very good at speaking english so we have lots of fun together, since language is the biggest thing in a friendship here.
Dustin has realized a great little cafe, Chef Roky, that will soon become his regular spot - we have visited it twice and well, he thought charwma was his favorite but turns out a mixed beef, beef sausage, chicken, and ground beef sandwich has become his favorite - always of course with fries.
I have been able to get some recipes from Ann and have baked an apple crisp, soon to be two, and made some veggie dip and no bake cookies. So I am getting excited - we weren't sure if our oven worked but it does so i think baking powder biscuits is my next mission. OH yes, and last week we spent one day varnishing the school walls which i'll hopefully be able to show you soon - forget my camera today - but that night dustin got sick and was throwing up till the next lunch time or so and then like clockwork - I was sick on friday, two days later. We weren't sure if it was the horrible varnish smell that did it or if we just had the flu. Anyways, turns out it wasn't the varnish because we spent all day yesterday finishing the doors etc and we were all good last night - thankfully. So last week was sick week - we were a little on edge and unfortunately last week was a full week of delicious homemade meals so we weren't always able to indulge like normal. The reason for these meals is that Min Kyoung, one of my korean students and a friend is heading back to Korea - her time here is up - so we had a couple parties also one for her birthday. Tomorrow actually she is heading home so it'll be different without a younger girl here with me.
Uhh - one big highlight was on sunday - we went out to McDonalds - the first time and man, they kinda have the $1 menu - more like the 11.50 Dirham menu but we got to eat a ton of mcdonalds for cheap - it was good, not the same but good.
So besides the progress of the school and our upincoming plans, that was the last two weeks you guys missed in our journeys in Agadir.

where'd you get that picture of a cockroach? Looks doctored to me...got to get the action shot to convince people you're telling the truth. another thought, isn't it amazing though how fast they can move in comparison to their body size?
