Brent and Amber were vacationing in Oahu so they decided to come to Kona for the day. Unfortunately they didn't get close enough to the volcano to see any flow and it was a long walk out there but supposedly it was still enjoyable - for them at least, their parents may not have thought the same way.
They also got to come out to the base and we went out for coffee in the evening. It was so nice to talk to people that we haven't been around for the past month and a half - a new face is always welcome. We got to hear about their big trip coming up - heading to Tanzania for 3 years. It was great to hear about other people doing work in different places of the world - kind of what Dustin and I want to do in the future. It was also just great to talk to people - another couple, relate with them and just hear what's going on back home.
Another evening well spent!!
